Whatever it is, it's contagious

A few months ago, Senator Clinton got all confused about some minor details of her arrival at Tuzla Air Base back in 1996.  Fairly trivial stuff like whether or not people were shooting at her, at the time.  Anybody could forget a thing like that.

Now Senator Obama appears to be catching a similar case of forgetfulness:

Obama said Israelis could be certain of his commitment to Israel's security by looking at "my deeds."

"Just this past week, we passed out of the U.S. Senate Banking Committee, which is my committee, a bill to call for divestment from Iran, as a way of ratcheting up the pressure to ensure that they don't obtain a nuclear weapon," he said.

However, Obama does not serve on the banking committee, and McCain's campaign seized on the mistake.

Let's be charitable and assume that this is an honest mistake and not a deliberate attempt to mislead.

Dude.  WTF?  How can you not remember which committees you serve on?  And how could you forget that inside of a week?
